Judy Parfitt (born on November 7, 1935 in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England) is a British theatre, film and television actress, who began her career on stage in 1954.

She is probably best known for her heartelt and moving performance as Kathy Bates' domineering employer in Dolores Claiborne, who is dying in present-time, but seen as a vibrant, glowing woman in flashback sequences.

She was married to British actor, Tony Steedman, who died in 2001.
