Marie-Josée Croze
Marie-Josee Croze won the Best Actress Award at the Cannes Film Festival for her portrait of Nathalie, a tough-skinned, unrepentant and utterly unexpected young drug addict, who shares an unusual gift with her mother's friend Remy.
Croze earlier received accolades and awards for her performance in Denis Villeneuve's Maelstrom, for which she garnered four Best Actress Awards: at the Genie Awards, the Jutra Awards, the Vancouver Film Festival and the Festival de Mons. In 1993, she made her film debut in Georges Mihaka's La Florida (with Remy Girard). Since then, she has appeared in Atom Egoyan's Ararat, Des Chiens Dans La Neige, Ascension for French director Michel Welterlin, the sci-fi film Battlefield Earth and the forthcoming Nothing, a surreal comedy by Vincenzo Nathali.
Her television credits include the telefilm Murder Most Likely, and the series Largo Winch: Killer Cardignac, The Hunger, Le Masque, Urgence and Chambre en Ville.
