On the literary front, Fisher became a sensation with The New York Times best seller, Postcards From The Edge, for which she won the Los Angeles Pen Award for Best First Novel. Two additional best selling novels Surrender The Pink and Delusions Of Grandma followed.
She is working simultaneously on her fourth novel, and has just completed production on a new film; a comedy for ABC Pictures entitled These Old Broads, starring her mother, Debbie Reynolds, Elizabeth Taylor, Shirley MacLaine and Joan Collins. These Old Broads premiered on February 12, 2001 on ABC-TV.
Fisher has recently begun writing a screenplay adaptation for Jerry Bruckheimer entitled, Confessions Of A Shopaholic, and has completed one of the next installments of HBO Pictures Emmy Award winning series If These Walls Could Talk 3. Fisher has written two screenplays based on her best sellers: Postcards From The Edge, which starred Meryl Streep and Shirley MacLaine, and the upcoming Surrender The Pink.
