Carmen Ejogo

Carmen Ejogo stars in NBC's Kidnapped as Turner, who is the partner and right hand to Knapp (Jeremy Sisto), a professional private investigator who works outside the law's strict rulebook to retrieve kidnapping victims and guide families through the crisis.

Kidnapped is a high-stakes serialized thriller in which the 15-year-old son of a wealthy Upper East Side family is kidnapped and everyone is a suspect. The series focuses on the elaborate, triangulated game between the kidnappers, FBI and law enforcement, and the private negotiating team contracted by this perhaps not-so-picture-perfect family.

Ejogo is best known for her performance in the television movie Boycott as Coretta Scott King. She was nominated for an Image Award in 2002 for her portrayal of this forceful civil rights activist who carried on her husband's dream of a racially unified America.

Ejogo most recently starred in Lackawanna Blues with Jimmy Smits, S. Epatha Merkerson, Rosie Perez and Liev Schreiber. The movie and its cast were nominated for seven Emmy Awards, two Independent Spirit Awards and a Television Critics Association Award. The film was also awarded a Humanitas Prize and won a National Board of Review Award for Best Film or Mini-Series Made for Cable TV. The performance also earned Ejogo a 2006 Foundation for the Advancement of African Americans in Film (FAAAF) / Black Reel Award for Best Supporting Actress in the category of Television.

Among Ejogo's other film credits include The Avengers and What's the Worst That Could Happen?

The London native currently resides in New York with her husband and two children.
