Jade Gordon

Jade Gordon was born in Northern California, and lived the first six years of her life there. Following a few months in Paris, her family resettled in Los Angeles. She started acting classes in elementary school, and later studied theater at the L.A. County High School for the Arts. After graduation, she moved to Boston for a year to study acting at Emerson College.

Since moving back to Los Angeles, she has done workshops with the Actors Gang Theater; performed at the John Anson Ford Amphitheater, the Wooden-O Theater, and the Black Whole Theater. At the latter, she co-wrote, produced, and performed Lepratrons, a physical comedy combining leprechauns and Tron.

In 1998, Gordon co-wrote (with L.A. video artist Tulsa Kinney) and performed her critically acclaimed solo show, Art Star (about a fame-hungry ingenue with zero talent and even less humility), at the Playwright's Arena, the Huntington Beach Art Center, and the HBO Workspace.

Gordon's film credits include a small role in Sugar Town co-director Allison Anders' Grace of My Heart; and numerous experimental films.
