A veteran of series television, Alison La Placa has starred in numerous comedy series including Duet, Open House, STAT, The Jackie Thomas Show and Tom. She also has been featured in such telefilms as By Reason of Insanity, Second Serve and In the Nick of Time and has guest-starred in such top-rated series as Cheers, Fame, Our House, Family Ties and Remington Steele. Her feature film credits include roles in Fletch and Madhouse (which also starred John Larroquette). Raised and educated in suburban Chicago, La Placa not only earned a degree in drama from Illinois Wesleyan University, but also received extensive training in classical piano and voice. She has employed her musical talents in regional productions of Dames at Sea and Company, as well as the Los Angeles Cast Theater's production of Strider.
