Ming-Na
Ming-Na first won attention with her touching and critically acclaimed performance as June in the feature film The Joy Luck Club. Among her film credits are Mike Figgis' One Night Stand with Robert Downey Jr., Streetfighter as Chun-Li and, most recently, Push with Dakota Fanning.
She's the voice of Disney's heroine Mulan, for which she won an Annie Award. Ming-Na also voiced the lead role of Aki Ross in Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within.
Amongst her considerable television work, she is most noted for her portrayal of Dr. Jing-Mei Deb Chen on the hit NBC show ER. She has also been a series regular on Vanished, Inconceivable, and The Single Guy. Soap opera fans may remember her as Lien Hughes on As The World Turns. Most recently, she guest starred in Boston Legal, Private Practice, George Lopez, and Two and A Half Men.
Ming-Na graduated with high honors from Carnegie-Mellon University in drama, and fulfilled her dream of performing on Broadway in David Henry Hwang's Tony nominated play Golden Child. Theatre will always be her first love as an actress.
Ming-Na has been included in People magazine's list of the 50 most beautiful people and was named one of the 100 most influential Asian Americans of the past decade by aMagazine.
Her greatest joy is spending time with her husband and their two children. Ming-Na also loves to cook, eat, play poker, do yoga, knit and learn something new every day.
