Riley Smith
This year, Smith starred opposite Cuba Gooding Jr. and Ed Harris in Radio, reuniting Riley with director Mike Tollin, who directed him in his first television pilot. Smith's character (Johnny) is the star athlete in the high school whose father tries to turn the town against Cuba's character (Radio.) Smith's character changes his hostile feelings toward Radio and champions him to succeed and win the support of the community.
Smith also made his mark in television this fall in a recurring role on the Fox hit series 24 with Kiefer Sutherland. He starred as Kyle Singer, who was targeted by Jack Bauer (Sutherland) and C.T.U. for potentially transporting a deadly virus from a terrorist group, threatening the city of Los Angeles with a potential outbreak. Smith starred in the first six episodes of this season.
In previous years, Smith gained popularity with the teen audiences with his starring role in the Disney Channel's Motorcrossed. He also starred in the WB's Raising Dad and ABC's Crossing Gideon. In 1999, Riley starred in the NBC series Freaks and Geeks. He has starred in five primetime network pilots and has guest starred in over a dozen television series.
Riley currently resides in Los Angeles.
