Biography #2 (for The Lyon's Den)
Kyle Chandler (Early Edition) stars as the fiercely competitive and cynical attorney Grant Rashton, in NBC's drama The Lyon's Den.Born in Buffalo, New York, Chandler was raised in Chicago suburbs until he was 11, and his family moved to the very small town of Loganville, Georgia. He attended the University of Georgia, where he received a bachelor of arts degree in theater. His first breaks in television were guest-starring roles on China Beach and Tour of Duty, but he became known for his role as Jeff Metcalf on the series Homefront. Chandler starred in the television drama Early Edition (from 1996-2000), What About Joan and The Pastor's Wife. He has also starred in the Showtime movie Convict Cowboy and starred in the television miniseries Heaven and Hell.
Chandler's feature-film credits include roles in Pure Country, Mulholland Falls, and Angel's Dance.
In addition, Chandler appeared in the Broadway show Picnic at the Roundabout Theatre, for which he received the Outer Critics Award for his performance as Hal Carter. Chandler's other stage performances include roles in Luann Hampton Liberty Oberlander, The Comedy of Errors, HMS Pinafore, Oklahoma, Our Town, Miss Reardon Drinks a Little, Devil's Disciple, and Macbeth. Chandler lives with his wife, Katherine, and their daughter Sydney in Los Angeles.
