needs only to play himself as what he is in real life: one of the world's finest performers of classical and contemporary dance. Other than the classical titles, his repertoire includes works created especially for him.
Born in Buenos Aires in 1967, Mr. Bocca began dancing at the age of four. At the age of eighteen, he gained international recognition when he won the gold medal in the Moscow International Ballet Contest. He was then engaged by the American Ballet Theatre with which he continues dancing to this day, reaping an ever increasing collection of mentions on the part of the press and admiring audiences.
As a guest artist, he also dances with the world's most prestigious companies: the Royal Ballet of London, Moscow's Bolshoi Ballet, the Kirov of Saint Petersburg, the Paris Opera and the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires. Since 1990, he and his partner Eleonora Cassano have been touring the world with Ballet Argentino, a company founded by them which includes many tango numbers in its repertoire.
