Sean Young

Young is fortunate to have worked with several of the most accomplished directors in the entertainment industry, including Robert Altman, Harold Becker, Roger Donaldson, James Ivory, David Lynch, Garry Marshall, Ismael Merchant, Carl Reiner, Ivan Reitman, Ridley Scott, Tom Shadyak, Joel Shumacher, Oliver Stone, and Gus Van Sant.

Young's body of work has established her versatility and exhibited her chameleon-like capabilities. Her numerous leading roles include an other- worldly replicant in Blade Runner, opposite Harrison Ford; a lusty mistress in No Way Out, with Kevin Costner and Gene Hackman; Michael Douglas' trophy wife in Wall Street; the gracious wronged woman in Cousins, opposite Ted Danson; a military helicopter pilot in Firebirds, opposite Nicholas Cage and Tommy Lee Jones; and twin sisters in A Kiss Before Dying with Matt Dillon.

Young's comedic skills were highlighted in Fatal Instinct, opposite Armand Assante and under the direction of Carl Reiner, as well as in The Proprietor, in which she starred opposite Jeanne Moreau. She also played a woman seeking a husband in F. Scott Fitzgerald's Under the Biltmore Clock for PBS' American Playhouse, and the teenage movie star in Tender is the Night, with Mary Steenburgen and Peter Strauss.

Young has a total of three films coming out in 2000. She recently completed shooting The Amati Girls, a film directed by Anne De Salvo and also starring Cloris Leachman, Mercedes Ruehl, Dinah Manoff, Lily Knight, Lee Grant, Paul Sorvino, Jamey Sheridan, and Mark Harmon. The film is a heartwarming drama about four adult sisters and their recently widowed mother who draw closer together following their life-altering loss.

She also recently completed production on Sugar and Spice, a feature film directed by Francine McDougall and produced by Oscar-winner Wendy Finerman. She plays the mother of a popular high school cheerleader (played by Mena Suvari) who turns to crime to support her extravagant lifestyle.

And finally, she recently completed Goodbye Sunrise, in which she stars as a white trash mother who becomes a burglar to accumulate money for a college education for her teenage son (played by Tony Denman). Written and directed by Michael Addis, the film also stars Jacob Tierney and William Devane.

No stranger to television, Young has previously starred in such highly-rated and significantly acclaimed movies for television as the award-winning legal drama Witness To The Execution, Blue Ice with Michael Caine, and the mini-series Blood and Orchids with Kris Kristofferson. She also starred in CBS's Everything To Gain, one of the network's highest rated movies of the week ever.

Young has an intensive dance background (she is a graduate of Interlochen Arts Academy), which served her well during her critically acclaimed performances in Stardust with Toni Tenille and Hinton Battle, a musical review of song writer Mitchell Parish. Young also performed with Gregory Hines at special benefit for the American Tap Dance Orchestra, for which she also sits on the board at their New York City headquarters.

Hailing from Sedona, Arizona, Young recently moved back to Los Angeles with her family. Married to singer/actor Robert Lujan, they have two sons, Rio and Quinn.
