Stephen Dunham
Raised in Boston, Massachusetts, Dunham is the son of a business consultant and real estate agent. His first memory of acting was in plays at a local summer camp. He continued to perform in school productions while attending a private boarding school, and decided to pursue acting full time after graduation. He attended the NYU Tisch School of The Arts and then attended The Actors Studio Drama School, the prestigious program dedicated to training professional artists in the fields of playwriting, directing and acting.
In 1987, Dunham moved to Los Angeles and worked odd jobs while waiting for his big break, including driving a truck for an infomercial company. The break finally came in the film Nothing Scared. Though the film was not released, the Seattle Film Festival reviews garnered Dunham attention. His career took off from there with roles in the films The Mummy and the romantic comedy The Idea of Sex. He also starred in the television series Oh Grow Up for executive producer Alan Ball and DAG with David Alan Grier.
Dunham currently resides in Santa Monica, and when not working, he enjoys skiing, surfing and any other water sports.
