Shemar Moore stars as Malcolm on the #1 rated daytime drama The Young & The Restless, for which he received two Emmy nominations for Outstanding Younger Leading Actor, two NAACP Image Awards and has just received his first Emmy for Best Supporting Actor in a Daytime Series.

Moore recently starred in the Jersey Films production of Celebrity. Moore has also guest starred on Moesha, For Your Love, Chicago Hope, The Nanny and the HBO original series Arli$$. He was introduced to the silver screen as Freddy in the HBO feature film Never 2 Big (Butter), starring Nia Long, and he made a cameo appearance in the Miramax independent feature Have Plenty. Moore also appeared in the CBS mini-series Mama Flora's Family, starring Cicely Tyson and Queen Latifah, and is currently starring in the independent feature film Box Marley. Moore served as host for the 1999 Miss USA pageant and had the honor of presenting Susan Lucci with her first Daytime Emmy Award in 19 years and currently hosts the syndicated show Soul Train.

Moore attended Santa Clara University in California, where on a baseball scholarship he majored in theater arts and communications. With his athletic physique and charming appeal, he was lured to the fashion district of New York, where he pursued a successful career as a fashion and print model.

Moore is proficient in all sports, especially Boxing and Baseball. He is also a very active member of his community, in lending support to many Children's charities and benefits.
