Patrick Breen

In addition to starring in the ensemble cast of Just a Kiss, Patrick Breen wrote the film's intricately entwined and daringly offbeat screenplay. He previously co-wrote East of A with Scott Kraft and Nadine Van Der Velde which premiered at this year's Santa Barbara Film Festival. Another one of his screenplays, Kevin Approaches, has attracted Academy Award-nominated Laura Linney, and will be filmed this fall.

As an actor, Breen's feature film credits include Stark Raving Mad, Galaxy Quest, One True Thing, Men In Black, Get Shorty, For Love or Money and Ishtar. For television, he has appeared on Sex And The City and Oz. He also had a recurring lead guest role on Fox's Party of Five.

Equally successful on stage, Breen's Broadway acting credits include: Sweet Adeline, directed by Eric Schaeffer; Big River, directed by Des McAnuff; and Brighton Beach Memoirs, directed by Gene Saks. Off-Broadway he has starred in Fuddy Meers at the Manhattan Theatre Club; View of the Dome at the New York Theatre Workshop; and The Substance of Fire at Lincoln Center. Other off-Broadway productions include Baba Goya, Fast Eddie, Blood Sport, Little Murders and Life and Lamb.

As a member of the Naked Angels Theatre Company, founded by Fisher Stevens, Breen has starred in several productions, including A Fair Country, Chelsea Walls, Aven'U Boys, The Call of the Wiley (which was made into a short film directed by Stevens), New Hope for the Dead and The Alarm.
