Frederic Forrest
Forrest next won the National Film Critic's Award for Best Supporting Actor and received both Oscar and Golden Globe nominations for his role opposite Bette Midler in The Rose. He starred in Wim Wenders' Hammett then joined up with Coppola again for his next two films: One From the Heart and Tucker: A Man and His Dream. Additional film credits include Falling Down with Michael Douglas, Stephen Frears' Saigon: Year of the Cat, The Two Jakes with Jack Nicholson, Abel Ferrara's Cat Chaser, Michael Lindsay-Hogg's The Habituation of Dragons, Who Will Love My Children, Huckleberry Finn, The Parade, Where Are The Children, Stacking, Lassie, One Night Stand, The Stone Boy with Robert Duvall, The Music Box with Jessica Lange and Calamity Jane in which he played Wild Bill Hickok.
On television, Forrest starred in the Italian mini-series Quo Vadis directed by Franco Rossi, in Citizen Cohn for HBO, in the mini-series Beryl Markham: Shadows of the Sun directed by Tony Richardson and in the Emmy Award-winning Lonesome Dove as Blue Duck. Other telefilms include John Frankenheimer's acclaimed Against the Wall for HBO. Most recently, Forrest co-starred in Frankenheimer's Emmy Award-winning Andersonville for TNT. He also appeared in the feature films The Brave with Johnny Depp, Michael Lindsay-Hogg's Alone, Wim Wenders' The End of Violence, Whatever, Crash Dive and Reasonable Force."
