Biography #2 (for Bringing Down the House)

Multi-talented actor Steve Harris has twice been nominated for an Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his impassioned portrayal of partner Eugene Young on ABC's The Practice. In addition, he won the 1998 and 1999 Viewers for Quality Television Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama, and was again nominated for that award in 2000. He was also nominated for the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series in 1998, 1999, 2000 and 2001.

Harris' motion picture credits include The Rock, Sugar Hill, the independent film Beyond City Limits, The Skulls and the Steven Spielberg feature Minority Report starring Tom Cruise.

Born and raised in Chicago, Harris earned a graduate degree in theater from the University of Delaware. After graduation, several theater roles led to a guest-starring appearance in the pilot episode of Homicide: Life on the Street, directed by Barry Levinson. and to a breakthrough role in Against the Wall, a docudrama about Attica.
