After making his screen debut in Kirkwood made his screen debut opposite Drew Barrymore as Billy Prince in Never Been Kissed, Denny Lee Kirkwood made his mark as the sexually confused San Francisco underground raver Colin Turner in Groove, an audience favorite that rocked the Sundance Film Festival. Sony Pictures Classics quickly acquired the film and released it nationwide in June of 2000.

A native of Seattle, Kirkwood discovered his passion for acting while attending the University of Washington. Once in Los Angeles, he studied at the Young Actors Space and also with Kim Darby, Vincent Chase and Paul Warner. Warner was the first to showcase Kirkwood in a theatrical performance of Mood Indigo.

After several television guest appearances, Kirkwood landed a recurring role opposite his real-life twin brother, Bryan, on the NBC sitcom One World. Other television credits include: E. Kelley's The Practice, The Pretender, Weird Science and Lois & Clark. Currently, he can be seen on USA Network's hit series The Huntress. Kirkwood will re-team with his brother in Gregg Araki's upcoming series This Is How The World Ends.

He stars alongside Obie award-winning actor Roger Guenveur Smith in the cutting edge digital psychological thriller Caller ID for filmmakers Erix Zimmerman and Nik Jamgocyan of Symbion. He will also soon be seen in the upcoming independent film Sex and a Girl.
