Alison Steadman
Alison Steadman is an English actor. In the 1960s she moved to London to train at East 15 Acting School, where she met her first husband, the film director,
Mike Leigh. She has appeared in many film, radio and television roles. One of her early notable roles was as Beverley in the 1977 drama Abigail's Party. Since then she has appeared in Clockwise (1986), The Adventures of Baron Munchausen (1988), Wilt (1989), Let Them Eat Cake (1999), Adrian Mole: The Cappuccino Years (2001), and Grumpy Old Women (2004).
