Robert Gossett
On Broadway, Gossett is best known for his performances in Lloyd Richard's production of Fences, Hal Scott's A Raisin In The Sun and Donald McKayle's The Last Minstrel Show.
He received the 1993 NAACP Theater Award for Best Performance by a Male and the Dramalogue Best Actor Award for his performance in Indigo Blues as part of the Mojo Ensemble Co. He also received the 1995 LA Weekly Theater Award and the Dramalogue Best Actor Award for his performance in Washington Square Moves, again with the Mojo Ensemble Co.
His other theater credits include Manhattan Made Me, Sons and Father of Sons, A Soldier's Play and Colored People's Time, all performed with the Negro Ensemble Company.
His television credits include Alien Nation: The Udara Legacy, Common Ground and Deadly Games: The Menendez Story. He has appeared on the series Hangin' With Mr. Cooper, NYPD Blue and Touched By An Angel and had recurring roles on Beverly Hills, 90210, Promised Land, Pacific Palisades and Silk Stalkings.
