Biography #2 (for Pipe Dream)

Rebecca Gayheart was most recently seen opposite Balthazar Getty in 'Shadow Hours," which premiered at the 2000 Sundance Film Festival. She recently made her stage debut playing Sunny Freitag in the Los Angeles production of Alfred Uhry's Tony Award-winning play The Last Night of Ballyhoo, opposite Rhea Pearlman, for which she was honored with a Backstage West Garland award. Gayheart recently appeared on the big screen in the Columbia/ Tri-Star black comedy Jawbreaker, opposite Rose McGowan and Pam Grier, and the Columbia/ Tri-Star thriller Urban Legend opposite Jared Leto. In addition, Rebecca completed roles in Miramax's Hangman's Daughter and Hair Shirt with Neve Campbell.

Gayheart was raised in Pinetop, KY. After spending a summer in New York modeling, Gayheart moved to the Big Apple at age 15 to finish her high school education. A few years later, Rebecca completed high school at New York's Professional Children's School. She then studied at the Lee Strasberg Institute for two-and-a-half years. Midway through her second term, she became a cast regular on the daytime drama Loving, playing the role of Hannah. Rebecca made her movie debut in Touchstone Pictures' Nothing to Lose, opposite Tim Robbins and Martin Lawrence, followed by Scream 2. Other credits include Robin Cook's Invasion and Beverly Hills 90210. She has also appeared in the film short What Happened to Mason Reese?, directed by Brett Ratner. Rebecca gained national recognition as 'the Noxema Girl' and Clairol's Glintz Girl.
