Bernard Lee
Bernard Lee (January 10, 1908 - January 16, 1981) is a British actor who was best known for his role as M in the James Bond movies.
In the movies, M is Bond's boss who sends him out on assignments. Lee, was succeeded by Robert Brown who played the same character and later Judi Dench.
He also starred in the 1976 TV show Beauty and the Beast with George C. Scott. A year later he starred in the TV show A Christmas Carol as the Ghost of Christmas Present.
In 1981, Lee passed away after a battle with cancer.
