Bob Peck

Bob Peck was a British Stage, TV and Film actor, who came to acting relatively late in life.

He was probably best known to British audiences for his role as Craven in the acclaimed 1985 BBC drama serial Edge of Darkness. The role won him Best Actor at that year's BAFTA Awards and helped to launch his television and film career. He later became familiar to American audiences for his film roles, including Jurassic Park (as the warden Robert Muldoon), and Smilla's Sense of Snow. He also played an escaped android in the post apocalyptic film Slipstream which also starred Mark Hamill and Bill Paxton.

Peck was educated at the Leeds College of Art where he received a diploma in Art & Design. Before breaking into film and tv work he was a regular actor for the Royal Shakespeare Company alongside Sir Ian McKellen and Judi Dench. According to Ian McKellen, Peck is the one actor he considers he learned the most from.

Peck died of cancer in April 1999 after several years of illness. He is survived by his wife Jill and children Hannah, George and Milly.
