Like the young actors in real life, the characters the Sprouse boys play, Zack and Cody, are dissimilar. Zack is more self-assured, wants to be cool and is the mastermind of the schemes. His brother Cody is more thoughtful, couldn't care less about what's cool and reluctantly gets drawn into Zack's plans. It's also Cody's guileless nature that somehow gets them both out of trouble.
Cole Sprouse, named for jazz singer and pianist Nat King Cole, was born August 4, 1992 in Arezzo, Italy. He is the youngest twin by 15 minutes. He and his brother were raised in Southern California and began a career in front of the camera at the young age of six months, in a commercial for toilet paper.
From 1993 to 1998, Cole and Dylan starred as Brett Butler's youngest child, Patrick Kelly, on the ABC-TV series Grace Under Fire.
The twins are most recognized for the role of Julian in Adam Sandler's 1999 blockbuster Big Daddy. During the month Big Daddy was released, their second feature film The Astronaut's Wife, starring Johnny Depp and Charlize Theron, was also released.
From 2000-02, Cole and Dylan made numerous appearances on Friends portraying Ross's son Ben Geller. His other film credits include Master of Disguise, Eight Crazy Nights and Piggybanks.
Cole's list of favorites includes math and the color blue. He and his brother are very close and share a great love of animals. They also share an enthusiasm for video games and all types of sports, especially motocross, snowboarding, surfing and basketball.
