Frances Bavier

Frances Bavier (December 14, 1902 - December 6, 1989) was an American actress, best remembered for her role as Aunt Bea on The Andy Griffith Show in the 1960s.

Bavier has appeared in many plays on Broadway, including Point of No Return alongside Henry Fonda.

She played the part of Mrs Barley in the 1951 film The Day the Earth Stood Still.

Bavier died from a heart attack in 1989.
