She recently completed starring roles in four independent features: Keys to Tulsa, with Mary Tyler Moore and James Spader; Still Breathing, opposite Brendan Fraser; Little City, with Jon Bon Jovi and Annabella Sciorra; and Eden, opposite Dylan Walsh and Sean Patrick Flannery. Her most recent film is the 1950s love story Inventing the Abbotts, with Liv Tyler and Jennifer Connelly.
Born in Washington, D.C. and raised in Newport, Rhode Island, Going is the eldest of six children. Becoming involved in community theater and amateur productions while in high school, she entered Emerson College in Boston, then left after two years to attend the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York.
A year later, she was selected out of 400 contenders to make her television debut as ingenue Evie Stone on Search For Tomorrow. She went on to portray Lisa Grady for two years in Another World, then became a primetime series regular on Dark Shadows, playing the dual role of Victoria Winters /Josette Dupres. She also gueststarred in an episode of Columbo. But television audiences recognize the actress best from her recent role as dedicated medical student Kathleen McDermott on the ABCTV series Going to Extremes and from the CBS miniseries Children of the Dust with Sidney Poitier.
On the stage, Going was last seen in Flowering Peach on Broadway. Her other theater credits include Suddenly Last Summer at Stage West in Massachusetts and Man in His Underwear at the Williamstown Theater Festival, among others.
