Alfred Ryder
Alfred Ryder (January 5, 1916 - April 16, 1995) was a radio, television and film actor. Ryder may best be remembered for appearing in over one hundered television shows, including the role of Professor Robert Crater in the first Star Trek episode The Man Trap in 1966. Ryder also appeared as one of the alien leaders in the TV series The Invaders. Ryder began acting at the age of 8 and later went on to study with the likes of Robert Lewis and Lee Strasberg as a young adult.
He was married to actress Kim Stanley from 1958 until 1964, by whom he had a child. He was the brother of actress Olive Deering.
