Silverman recently starred in Showtime's BOBBIE'S GIRL, opposite Rachel Ward and Bernadette Peters, and in THE MEDICINE SHOW, opposite Natasha Gregson-Wagner. He is currently in production on the Showtime film DEACONS FOR DEFENSE, with Forest Whitaker and Ossie Davis, directed by Bill Duke. Silverman also made his executive producing debut along side co-star Louis Gossett Jr. in THE INSPECTORS.
On television, Silverman starred in NBC's The Single Guy, from 1995-1997, which was created for him by Castle Rock Entertainment and Brad Hall. His other television appearances include Friends and ER.
On Broadway, Silverman created the role of 'Eugene Morris Jerome' in Neil Simon's Broadway Bound after starring in Mr. Simon's successful Broadway runs of Biloxi Blues and Brighton Beach Memoirs. Last season he starred with John Spencer in Glimmer, Glimmer and Shine, by Tony Award winning playwright Warren Leight for the Mark Taper Forum. Other theatre credits include Tony and Pulitzer prize winning playwright Tony Kushner's The Illusion at the Los Angeles Theatre Center, Roger Kumble's Pay or Play at the Hudson Theatre and Sticks and Stones at the MET THEATRE.
Silverman recently starred in Roger Kumble's latest play, Turn Around, with David Schwimmer and Tom Everett Scott at the Coast Playhouse in Los Angeles.
