Lane Smith

Lane Smith received a Golden Globe nomination for his portrayal of Richard Nixon in the miniseries The Final Days, and more recently co-starred with Jack Lemmon and George C. Scott in the award-winning cable movie Inherit the Wind.

Among his feature film credits are The Hi-Lo Country, Why Do Fools Fall in Love, The Distinguished Gentleman, The Mighty Ducks, My Cousin Vinny, Air America, Weeds, Places in the Heart, Red Dawn, Frances, Honeysuckle Rose, Prince of the City and Network.

Television fans know Smith for his regular roles on such series as Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman and V. His television work also includes the longform projects From the Earth to the Moon, Challenger, If Tomorrow Comes, Dress Gray, Something About Amelia, Chiefs, Special Bulletin, The Member of the Wedding and A Rumor of War.

Smith has also worked extensively on the stages of New York and Los Angeles, including the Broadway production of David Mamet's Glengarry Glen Ross, for which he won a Drama Desk Award.
