was discovered in Rome where he is a student at St. George's English School. He continues a performing tradition begun by his mother, Marget, a one-time dancer and model who currently teaches fourth graders in an international school (Marymount) in Rome. Wallace's father is a diplomat with the US Embassy. He has one sister, Molly, 14, who is also interested in drama.
Wallace has previously performed two plays. He is also a cellist with his school's orchestral group, St. George's English School Chamber Orchestra. They give frequent concerts in Rome and go on tour as well.
Zeffirelli selected Wallace after seeing photos of the youth. Wallace visited Zeffirelli several times at his compound at Via Appia Pignatelli. Eventually, after doing several readings and conversing lengthily with the director about aspects of the story, he was offered the role.
