Max Wright

Max Wright is best known as the high-strung father of a suburban family that sheltered an irascible alien visitor in their home on the series, ALF.

He also starred in the series, Buffalo Bill, Misfits of Science and Dudley; and had guest-starring roles on Cheers, Friends, Murder, She Wrote, Taxi and WKRP in Cincinnati. He also starred in the made-for-television movies, Playing for Time and Dead By Midnight; and the miniseries, From the Earth to the Moon.

Wright has appeared in numerous films, including All That Jazz, Reds, A Midsummer Night's Dream and Snow Falling on Cedars.

On stage, Wright received the Callaway Award, a Tony nomination and a Drama Desk nomination for his work in Ivanov. On Broadway, he appeared in The Basic Training of Pavlo Hummel, The Cherry Orchard, The Inspector General, Lunch Hour, Once in a Lifetime, Richard III and Stages. More recently, Wright starred in Twelfth Night with Helen Hunt at Lincoln Center.
