Born in San Diego, California, Lopez' first professional role was the younger brother on the series A.K.A. Pablo. After his huge success on the Saved By the Bell series, he took his talents to other ventures, including an award-winning host on Name Your Adventure, the NBC movie-of-the-week Kidnapping Mr. Griffin and Showtime's Resurrection Blvd. His film credits include, Eastside, Colors, Depraved and The Journey: Absolution. He has been nominated for Best Actor for his portrayal as Greg Louganis by both the Cable Ace Awards and the American Latino Media Arts Awards. His performance in Pacific Blue also garnered him a Best Acting nomination from ALMA.
