Jim Isaac

Jim Isaac started his career in theater, where he wrote, produced and directed numerous original plays. Landing his first film job with Lucasfilm, Isaac won an exciting position in the heart of the special effects creature shop on the third Star Wars film, Return of the Jedi, Isaac then worked as an animatronics technician and key puppeteer on Gremlins, Romancing the Stone and Enemy Mine, as well as on David Cronenberg's The Fly, which earned the CWI effects team an Academy Award for Special Visual Effects.

With his career on the rise, Isaac supervised the effects on a series of successful motion pictures, including Arachnophobia, Naked Lunch, Look Who's Talking Too, Virtuosity, Jade, Copycat, Ace Ventura, Children of the Corn and David Cronenberg's Existenz.

Isaac began his association with Sean S. Cunningham on House and the underwater thriller Deepstar Six. After taking over major production duties on House III: The Horror Show, Isaac was asked to take the creative helm of the tenth film in the legendary Friday the 13th film series and use his innovative skills to direct Jason X.
