Jordan Brady

Director Jordan Brady recently completed An American Girl, starring Brad Renfro and Jena Malone. His upcoming film for Miramax The Third Wheel stars Denise Richards, Luke Wilson, Ben Affleck and Jay Lacopo. Produced by Affleck and Damon' s Pearl Street Productions in association with HIS Entertainment and Tomorrow Films, the film follows an average guy who finally gets the girl of dreams only to discover that the couple must spend the night with an uninvited stranger. He made his feature film debut with the film festival favorite Dill Scallion. A sweet and satirical look at the vagaries of fame and the country music scene, Dill Scallion follows a hapless aspiring country singer/school bus driver as several comical misadventures, including an injured foot that sparks a dance craze known as The Scallion Shuffle, propel him into the musical spotlight. The film stars Billy Burke as Scallion, Henry Winkler as the producer who discovers him and features Jason Priestly, Peter Berg and David Koechner, as Dill' s sidekick Bubba Pearl, the illegitimate son of Minnie Pearl. Brady also made an appearance in the film, as himself, playing a documentary filmmaker who stumbles upon Dill. This was not a huge acting stretch for Brady as he had lensed several documentaries under the aegis of the NBC show Name Your Adventure, which he produced, directed and co-hosted. The show answered letters from teenage viewers by fulfilling their wildest requests. As such, Brady made mini-documentaries on everything from shark diving to space camp to singing with Boys II Men to inventing a new flavor of Ben & Jerry' s ice cream.

Brady began his career as a stand-up comedian and traveled to over 500 cities in the United States during his eight-year stint. In 1990, he hosted MTV' s Turn It Up With Jordan Brady, a daily show that won the Cable ACE Award. He subsequently split his time among college tours, roles on assorted television series and stand-up comedy appearances on television.
