Omar Anguiano

Born in Gardena, California in 1981, Anguiano moved with his family to the mean streets of Compton while still in elementary school. At Compton High School, Anguiano began to get serious about pursuing acting, enrolling in drama classes and joining the drama club.

In 1998, Anguiano's high school drama teacher organized a showcase for her students at Hollywood's ACME Theater, where Anguiano caught the attention of management company Silas Entertainment and was immediately signed to a management deal. Silas later referred Anguiano to well-known New York theatrical agency Don Buchwald and Associates, who soon landed him his first major audition for The Mary Kay Letourneau Story. After his audition with the casting director, he was quickly called back to read with co-star Penelope Ann Miller, and, just over a week later, he landed the part.

Anguiano's first major role has already led to a number of other firsts, including his first trip out of the Los Angeles area, his first plane ride, and his first appearance on Entertainment Tonight.
