Since Hampshire made her television debut at age 17 in the CBS mini-series, The Last Don as the Don's daughter, her career has taken off. By the time she was 18, she had completed four television roles and one feature film.
Most recently Hampshire played Rachel Ward and Peter Strauss' daughter in Dan Petrie' Sr.'s CBS mini-series, Love on the Land, circa 1861, in which she had to age from 20 to 30. She guest starred on Atlantis Films' mini-series Earth Final Conflict, had a lead role in NBC's Every Nine Seconds and starred in Boy Meets Girl.
Montreal-born Hampshire's high energy and high jinx led a teacher to suggest she join the high-school drama class. Immediately she started acting, she knew she had found her vocation. She joined The Young Performers of Canada where she was spotted by a casting director. This led to her motion picture debut at age 14 as Genevieve Bujold's daughter in the thriller, Dead Innocent.
She subsequently moved to Toronto a year later, intent on pursuing her acting career. She hasn't stopped working since.
