Nicolas Winding Refn
After living in New York for a decade up to the age of 18, Winding Refn returned to his homeland to pursue his directing career and the production of his first feature, the urban thriller Pusher. After the success of Pusher, which received its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival 1996, Winding Refn made Bleeder, portraying a realistic look at dysfunctional youth in 1990s Copenhagen. Fear X is Winding Refn's first English-language film, based upon the original script he co-wrote with cult writer Hubert Selby Jr.
