Catherine Dent

Catherine Dent was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, graduated from the North Carolina School of the Performing Arts and moved to New York where her feature film debut was in Robert Benton's Nobody's Fool, with Paul Newman. She stars opposite Jean Claude Van Damme in The Replicant and can be seen in Venom with Treat Williams. She can be seen in Tony Goldwyn's Someone Like You as Ashley Judd's sister.

Her theatre credits regionally include the title role in Baby Doll, Maggie in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Bang the Drum Slowly, and The Street of the Sun in Los Angeles at the Taper. In New York she stoodby for Elena and Sonya in Uncle Vanya on Broadway, and starred in Amoeba Concerto off-Broadway.

Her television guest-starring credits on East Coast-based series include The Sopranos, Third Watch, Law & Order: Special Victim's Unit and New York Undercover. Since moving to Los Angeles, she has also guest starred on Frasier, Dharma & Greg, The X-Files, L.A. Doctors, Chicago Hope, The Pretender, The Lone Gunmen and the Sci-Fi channel's The Invisible Man.

Ms. Dent's other, independent film credits include A Girl's Guide to Sex, Jaded, A New Game, The Debutantes and Dangerous Proposition.

She stars in the new Steven Spielberg miniseries Taken on the Sci-Fi channel. Also she is a series regular on the first F/X hour drama, working title Rampart, which begins airing spring 2002.
