Randy Redroad

Randy Redroad has direted three short films including Haircuts Hurt and High Horse, winner of the Best Short Film Award at the American Indian Film Festival and Best Film at the Festival de Amiens, France.

The Doe Boy marks Redroad's first feature-length movie.

In 1994, Redroad was invited to participate as a Sundance Institute Film Fellow in the Producer's and Filmmaker's Labs. The same year, he was the recipient of the prestigious Rockefeller Foundation Intercultural Film Fellowship.

Redroad has also toured with the Smithsonian Institute as part of Video Indigena. His work has been featured on The Sundance Channel, PBS, The Learning Channel, and in the film festivals all over the world.

He received the NHK International Award for Best Script at Sundance 2000 for his feature film debut, The Doe Boy.
