Jason George
On television, George starred as Jackson Rhames in UPN's critically acclaimed drama series Platinum. He also starred in the television series Off Centre as rap star Status Quo opposite Eddie Kaye Thomas and John Cho.
He starred as hunky gang leader-turned-lifeguard Michael Bourne in the daytime drama Sunset Beach for three years and garnered a Daytime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series. George was voted one of Soap Opera Digest magazine's 50 Most Beautiful Men in the World. Subsequently, he starred in the primetime soap Titans. He has also guest starred in UPN's GIRLFRIENDS, HALF & HALF, Roswell and Moesha, as well as in Friends and Arli$$.
Born and raised in Virginia Beach, Virginia, George majored in rhetoric and communication studies at the University of Virginia and later honed his craft, earning a Master's of Fine Arts from Temple University's theater department.
George enjoys stretching his chops on stage, most recently starring in U.S. poet laureate and Pulitzer Prize winner Rita Dove's epic drama The Darker Face of the Earth in Los Angeles. The play, which relocated Sophocles' tragedy Oedipus Rex to a South Carolina cotton plantation in 1820, received accolades from the Los Angeles Times and the Hollywood Reporter.
George currently lives in Los Angeles. He serves on the Board of Directors for Temple University's School of Communication and Theater as well as the National and Los Angeles board of the American Federation of Television & Radio Artists.
