Marko Matvere

Marko Matvere (born February 4, 1968) is an Estonian actor. He has worked at the Tallinn City Theatre since graduating from the Higher Theatre School of the Estonian Academy of Music in 1991.

He has played many roles, including in Les Misérables. Also in several films and TV-series it was Marko Matvere who played the main role. He has been awarded with the First Prize in the category of young actors at the International Theatre Festival in Torun in 1992, also the Estonian Theatre Union Award in 1996, the Award of Best Actor in 1997 at the National Drama Festival, Tallinn City Theatre Collegiate Awards of Best Actor in 1995, 1996, 1998, and 1999 etc. Together with Annely Peebo he hosted the Eurovision Song Contest 2002.
