A native of Austria, Christian Vuissa came to the United States in 1998 where he attended film school at Brigham Young University. He graduated magna cum laude in August 2002 and is considered one of the most promising young directors in LDS cinema. Vuissa is the director and creator of several award winning films, including A Given which was the winner of the Christophers Festival in New York in 2001 and Roots & Wings which won the AML (Association for Mormon Letters) Award for Best Film in 2002, the Gold Aurora Award for Best Foreign Language Film in 2002, and Best Director/Best Screenplay at the Eclipse Film Festival in 2002. His most recent film Unfolding played at national and international film festivals.
