Kyra Groves

Born in New York City, Kyra Groves first started acting in high school, but learned to hone her craft while at the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, VA, where she starred in several student films and local Theatre. After graduating, she moved to Los Angeles, where she landed two national commercials right away (for Taco Bell & Squirt Soda) and began her professional acting journey by joining the improvisional group, Yeti Nation, which ran at the Rose Theatre in Santa Monica.

Kyra recently booked a Series Regular role on the VH1 pilot 5 Non-Blonds, (a U.S. version of the hit BBC series 3 Non-Blonds) directed and Produced by Gary Reich, who also created and directed the BBC version. She has also Guest Starred on numerous Television shows such as Everybody Loves Raymond, Wanda At Large, 6 Feet Under and two other pilots, VH1's Trance Rock, and BET's Who's Got Mac.

Kyra also continues her work in the Theatre, after finishing starring in her first singing role in the play That's Life at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood, she won a prestigious NAACP Image award for acting as a Lead in an updated version of the 70's Broadway hit play "For Colored Girls Who've Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf," playing at the Globe Theatre in Los Angeles. Kyra received rave reviews for her performance, with Backstage West calling her the soul of the show and other reviews listing her performance as flawless and signaled out her amazing talent and versatility. She was also recently a member of the all girl sketch comedy group Tomboys In Fishnets that performed at the Zephyr Theatre in Hollywood.

Kyra is currently managed by Rozon Mercer Management and represented theatrically by The Geddes Agency out of Los Angeles.
