Sarah Shahi

Before getting her start in film and television, Texas native Sarah Shahi served as a cheerleader for the Dallas Cowboys, gracing the cover of their 2000 calendar and entertaining the troops on a USO tour to Bosnia, Macedonia, Kosovo and Italy. At a chance meeting with Robert Altman in Dallas, Shahi was encouraged by the legendary director to move to Los Angeles to pursue acting, and in 2000 she made the move west.

It didn't take Shahi long to make a name for herself in the acting world, and she soon began to appear in a range of film and television projects. She is best known for her role on Showtime's critically-acclaimed series The L Word in which she played Carmen de la Pica Morales. She also starred opposite Damian Lewis in the NBC series Life. Other television credits include roles on The Sopranos, Dawson's Creek, Frasier and Alias. Her film credits include Old School with Will Ferrell and Luke Wilson and Christopher Guest's For Your Consideration. She can also be seen in the Weinstein Company's Crossing Over, the independent film Shades of Ray for director Jaffar Mahmood, and in the independent film East Fifth Bliss, in which she starred opposite Lucy Liu and Michael C. Hall.
