James McTeigue
James McTeigue has more than 20 years of experience in the film industry. The Australian filmmaker made his directorial debut with V for Vendetta, an iconoclastic screen adaptation of Alan Moore's acclaimed graphic novel that starred Hugo Weaving and Natalie Portman. The Chicago Film Critics Association gave McTeigue their Most Promising Director prize for his work on the film. Next, he helmed the kinetic action film Ninja Assassin, starring Korean superstar Rain, Naomie Harris and Rick Yune.
Previously, McTeigue worked closely with the Wachowski brothers, serving as second unit director on Speed Racer and first assistant director on all three Matrix films. He was also first A.D. on such films as Star Wars: Episode Two - Attack of the Clones.
