Mehcad Brooks
Actor Mehcad Brooks has appeared in numerous television and film roles, most recently starring as Eggs on Alan Ball's HBO hit series True Blood, opposite Anna Paquin and Steven Moyer. He is a SAG Award winner for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series on the ABC show Desperate Housewives, on which he played the son of Alfre Woodard's character Betty Applewhite. This role earned him a nomination for an Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series Image Award, and inclusion in Daily Variety's Ten Young Actors to Watch feature in August 2005. He has also appeared in guest-starring roles on Malcolm in the Middle, Boston Public, One on One and Cold Case, among other television series.
Mehcad has appeared in a number of feature films, including Chris Carter's upcoming feature Fencewalker, the Paul Haggis film In the Valley of Elah alongside Tommy Lee Jones and Charlize Theron, and Disney's Glory Road, in which he appeared opposite Josh Lucas as a star NCAA basketball player.
An athlete himself, Mehcad grew up in Austin, Texas where, in addition to playing football and baseball, he was an All-State basketball player. He attended the University of Southern California, where he studied in the School of Cinema-Television.
