Peter Cambor
Peter Cambor made his television debut in
Notes from the Underbelly. He earned the role after the show's creator and executive producer saw him in the Los Angeles production of
The Cherry Orchard with
Annette Bening and
Alfred Molina. His other TV credits include
Numb3rs on the Network,
Pushing Daisies and
Trust Me.
Cambor acted in high school and college productions at Wesleyan University, where he received a bachelor's degree in English. Post-graduation, he moved to New York to pursue acting while also bartending and waiting tables. It was then that he decided to continue his studies and received an M.F.A. in acting from the American Repertory Theatre's Institute for Advanced Theatre Training at Harvard University and the Moscow Art Theatre in Russia.
Currently, Cambor lives in Venice, Calif., with his Labradoodle, Murphy. He is an avid guitarist, a gourmet chef and country music fan. He loves surfing and is a baseball nut — his favorite team is the Houston Astros. His mother and sister (Kathleen and Kate) are both published authors working on books due out later this year. Peter's father is a psychiatrist and has been instrumental in the development of Nate Getz, the character Cambor plays on the series.
