Rockmond Dunbar

The essence of Rockmond Dunbar is as intriguing as his name and as captivating as his on-screen presence. This fall, Rockmond, whom many consider one of the industry's most talented actors, returns to the small screen. He stars as the tough, mysterious inmate C-Note, on the hit Fox series, Prison Break.

Named one of Television's 50 Sexiest Stars of All Time by TV Guide, Rockmond is best known for his leading role as Kenny Chadway, the hard-working family man and entrepreneur on the long-running, critically-acclaimed Showtime drama series, Soul Food. A true renaissance man, he has hypnotized his audience not only theatrically, but in all realms of art. From his provocative mixed-media exhibit, ARTHERAPY, to his powerfully unforgettable guest appearance in Dylan McDermott's directing debut of The Practice, Rockmond is undoubtedly one of Hollywood's hottest up-and-coming artists.

His journey began with a series regular role in Steven Spielberg's Earth 2 strapped under his belt. Once Rockmond arrived on the Hollywood scene, it was only one short month before he landed a recurring role on the now defunct TV series, Good News. To his credit, he now has over nine guest starring roles on such shows as Felicity, The Pretender, Two Guys and a Girl, G. vs. E, and North Shore. Most recently, he had a recurring role on the UPN series Girlfriends.

This talented, theatrically trained actor experienced yet another career boost when he secured four leading roles in various independent films. One of the projects was Punks, which debuted at the 2000 Sundance film festival and was released in 2001, executive produced by Kenneth Babyface Edmonds and produced by Tracey Edmonds. Rockmond also performed lead roles in the films, Misery Loves Company, Sick Puppies, Whodunit, All About You, and Love The Way, which premiered in at the Acapulco Film Festival in June 2001. This year, he will be seen in the upcoming Warner Brothers feature film, Kiss, Kiss, Bang, Bang.

Remarkably enough, Rockmond also boasts writing, producing and directing titles to his credit. He has completed a script for a television drama series entitled Solitare, which he is expected to executive produce. In 2004, he directed and produced a short film for Showtime entitled The Great Commission.

Rockmond is gaining favorable notices as a quality actor from producers, directors and audiences across the country. Once you experience his talents as an actor and artist you will understand why this young man is destined for great success.
