Nazanin Boniadi
Nazanin Boniadi portrays Leyla Mir in
General Hospital, a stunning student nurse that makes everyone's head turn. Ms. Boniadi made her debut as the character on SOAPnet's highly successful, General Hospital spin-off General Hospital: Night Shift. She officially joined the cast of General Hospital in August 2007.
Born in Tehran, Iran, and raised in London, England, Ms. Boniadi was handpicked by Oscar Award-winning director Mike Nichols for a part in Charlie Wilson's War, starring Tom Hanks, Julia Roberts and Philip Seymour Hoffman. She followed that up by landing a part in Marvel Comics' upcoming film Iron Man, directed by Jon Favreau and starring Robert Downey Jr. Ms. Boniadi has guest starred on the CW television series The Game, a spin-off of Girlfriends. She also appears in the films Gameface and Shades of Ray.
Ms. Boniadi is the great-great-granddaughter of famed 19th Century Persian philosopher and poet, Safi Ali Shah. She graduated with Honors from the University of California Irvine, where she received a Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences. She is also fluent in both English and Farsi.
