Zahf Paroo
Zahf Paroo is Ajay Sharma in Defying Gravity, a one-hour drama about a team of astronauts on a six-year mission in outer space. A close friend to Donner, flight engineer Ajay is a deeply spiritual man who has an intuitive understanding of the mission's greater purpose.
Among Zahf's numerous television credits are Three Moons Over Milford for ABC Family; Battlestar Galactica for The Sci-Fi Channel; Da Vinci's City Hall and Edgemont, both for the CBC; and Degrassi: The Next Generation for CTV. He has also appeared in numerous telefilms, most recently in the Lifetime horror mystery The Unquiet.
His feature film work includes roles in Scooby Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed; Say It Isn't So; A Guy Thing; AntiTrust; and Firewall with Harrison Ford.
An accomplished stage performer, Zahf has appeared in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Bombay Dreams in New York, where he played 16 different characters. Other shows include Gypsy of the Year; Father's House; Romeo and Juliet; and the Belfrey Theatre's production of A Perfect Ganesh, where he played the title role.
Passionate about comedy, Zahf has produced much of his own live sketch comedy out of Vancouver, BC. He also toured and performed live comedy at the renowned Just for Laughs festivals in Toronto and Montreal.
A native of British Columbia, Zahf currently makes his home in Vancouver.
