Cory Monteith
Cory Monteith is quickly becoming one of Hollywood's most sought after young actors. He can currently be seen starring in Fox's Golden Globe winning musical comedy Glee, created by Ryan Murphy. The show focuses on a high school glee club and the efforts taken to save the underdog character's dreams. Cory plays Finn Hudson, the high school quarterback who, after reluctantly joining the club, becomes one of its primary leaders. The runaway hit show also took home a SAG Award in its debut season. Last year, Cory joined his Glee cast mates in a sold-out nationwide tour performing hits from the show. They returned for another sold-out nationwide tour this summer. A film of the tour, Glee! Live! 3D! arrives in theaters everywhere on August 12.
Cory's additional television credits include a leading role on the MTV series Kaya and a recurring guest star role on ABC's Kyle XY. He has also had numerous guest appearances on television shows including Smallville, Supernatural, Stargate, Flash Gordon and Interns. Additionally, he starred in the 2007 television movie Hybrid. His feature film credits include Final Destination 3, The Invisible, Deck the Halls and Whisper.
Cory was born in Calgary, Alberta, and moved to British Columbia's Vancouver Island when he was two. He fell into the jack-of-all-trades category early in life holding jobs as a Wal-Mart greeter, school bus driver for a daycare, roofer and cab driver before pursuing a career in acting.
